St. Peter and Paul’s Church

HSAL carved a new working gargoyle for St. Peter and Paul’s. The old gargoyle was no longer doing its job directing water away from the building.

The new gargoyle overlooks the motorway and is a Janus head with three faces watching the past the present and the future, and the traffic!

The spout is made of lead which joins the lead guttering on the tower.

All work was done with rope access including the installation of the gargoyle which was hauled from the ground up on a pulley system .
